The Peekaboo Trail has several tunnels, similar to the Queen's Garden Trail.
The next set of photos is just before and after the first
tunnel going clockwise between the spur trail and Bryce Point
intersections:
Above and below: Jim checks
out the tunnel.
Framed view the other direction
A wide backdrop of pretty pastel spires and fins is
in view as hikers begin a gradual descent past the tunnel:
Log benches under an
unusually-patterned rock wall
The trail continues down through another wash and then climbs up through
more trees to the intersection with the Bryce Point Trail.
Hikers get their first views of the Wall of Windows through the
trees -- if they look up at the right time:
Gotta watch for horse poop!
There are some great views of the whole Wall of Windows from
the intersection (below) with the Bryce Point Trail:
The Peekaboo Trail continues down to two primitive
toilets and a corral where the guided horse trips take a break, then up
again to another great viewpoint of the Wall of Windows and other
impressive rock formations in every direction:
View up to Bryce Point overlook (when
zoomed in, you can see people standing there)
Jim heads toward the Wall of
Windows overlook around the bend.
Another cool formation of
spires to the east
Sculpted white rocks on
cliff below the rim
This section of the trail has some of the best views of spires
and other rock formations as it winds below the Wall of Windows
